When you come to Kyoto, why don't you try a cooking class at iroHa cooking studio?
Would you like to have the interesting experience of making Japanese food together and eating together in a Japanese house in the streets of Kyoto? It will be an unforgettable experience.
First after arriving at our place, you can just relax in a traditional Japanese room over drinking Japanese tea. Then let's start a cooking lesson. After having meals, we will take you to a local supermarket. We will shop together experiencing our culture firsthand.
In the class, you will learn about seasonings such as dashi, which are indispensable in Japanese cuisine, while making various home-cooked meals.
Recommended for groups who want to enjoy themselves at their own pace and families with small children.
Private lessons are also available. Please feel free to contact us.
All lessons in English
This cooking class will be conducted entirely in English, because the instructers are certified interpreter guides. In addition, since the demonstration will be done in front of you, the content will be enjoyable even for non-native participants.
Small classes of up to 6 people
In order to satisfy all participants in this cooking class, normal group lessons are held with a maximum of 6 people. You can enjoy talking casually with the instructors and other participants in the atmosphere of an authenic Japanese style house. There is no doubt that it will be a valuable and memorable experience.
Hands-on style
In our cooking class, most families or groups will learn the dishes together. If you want to make it separately, please let us know. After the lesson, you can enjoy the dishes you made together with everyone.
Private reservation
This cooking class accepts small private groups too.
If you would like to make a reservation, please contact us.
We can promote you private lessons.
Vegetarians and vegans are welcome as well. We have recipes that do not use meat or fish, so please let us know when making a reservation.
